Our mission is to empower visually impaired artists through music, training, and opportunities across India.
Swaranjali Sangeet is an institute located in the heart of Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Founded on December 4th, 2022, by four passionate individuals—Swaroop Haldar, Nemi Chand, Raja Sharma, and Pankaj Tailor—Swaranjali Sangeet is dedicated to providing a platform for visually impaired artists to showcase their musical talents. The institute was established with the aim of bridging the gap and providing equal opportunities in the field of music for those who are visually impaired.
At its core, Swaranjali Sangeet believes in the transformative power of music. We are firm believers that music is not just a form of art but a language that transcends barriers, and every individual, irrespective of their abilities, deserves a chance to shine. Our mission is to empower visually impaired individuals by providing them with the tools, training, and exposure they need to excel in the world of music. The core team behind this initiative has worked relentlessly to build this platform for the past two years, and we are incredibly proud of how far we’ve come.
When Swaroop Haldar, Nemi Chand, Raja Sharma, and Pankaj Tailor first envisioned Swaranjali Sangeet, their goal was simple: to create an inclusive space for visually impaired musicians to grow, perform, and make a mark in the world. The idea was born from a deep understanding of the challenges faced by visually impaired individuals and the limited resources available to them in the field of music.
Starting with humble beginnings, the institute has grown to include a dedicated committee of 10 members. Each member of our team brings their unique skills, expertise, and a shared passion for making a difference. Together, we work to bring music education, training programs, competitions, and live performance opportunities to visually impaired artists across India. Our programs are designed to identify and nurture raw talent, helping individuals build their musical skills, confidence, and stage presence.
Our journey has been marked by several important milestones, each representing our growth and the impact we are making in the community. The most significant of these was our first national music singing competition, which was held successfully from June 19-21, 2023. This event attracted participants from all over the country and provided a platform for visually impaired musicians to showcase their talents. It was a proud moment for all of us, as it demonstrated the potential and passion that exists within this community.
Inaugurated on December 4, 2022, Swaranjali Sangeet has been relentlessly working to create more such opportunities for our artists. Since then, we have continued to hold regular events and provide support to visually impaired musicians.
In addition to large-scale competitions, we organize online quizzes related to music theory on a regular basis. These quizzes are designed to improve participants’ knowledge of music theory, which is crucial not only for their overall musical education but also for success in music competitions and exams. The quizzes also encourage a deeper understanding of musical concepts, thus enhancing the skills of our participants beyond their vocal training.
We believe that knowledge is key to unlocking the full potential of our artists, and our online quizzes have proven to be an invaluable tool in this regard. The quizzes are held periodically, allowing participants to continuously test their knowledge and improve their understanding of music theory.
Looking ahead, we have ambitious plans for expanding our reach and impact. We envision a future where visually impaired musicians across India have access to high-quality music education, and where their voices are heard on national and international stages. We are continuously working to increase the scope of our programs and to build partnerships with other institutions, sponsors, and supporters who share our vision.
We invite you to be a part of our mission by contributing to our cause. Your donations play a vital role in helping us organize events, provide training, and offer opportunities to visually impaired artists.
